It is with perhaps the heaviest heart that we reflect on our recipient of year 4, Jamie Boreham.

Jamie grew up here in Elliot Lake, a fun loving young man with many friends who loved him. He was the son of Don and Linda Harrison and the brother of Amy, Craig and Katie.

Due to Jamie's character, it was very easy to promote this 'Plooz because there were many many people in and around Elliot Lake who loved Jamie.

Though Jamie passed away way too early, those who had the chance were lucky to know him and before he passed, Gregorpalooza let him know just how much he meant to us.

The third Gregorpalooza was held for a very special woman, Robyn Godon.

Anyone who knew Robyn knew what an amazing woman she was and this could be seen by quickly this event sold out. Robyn was the wife of Richard and the mother of Jamie and Chelsea.

When it was decided that the 'Plooz would be for Robyn, there was concern because it was June and doctors said she would not likely live until the event in August. Robyn showed what a fighter she was living far longer than doctors believed she would.

Though Robyn is no longer with us, before she passed, she showed many of us what a great woman she was and we showed her that we stood behind her in her fight.

Abigail Hagger is a young girl from Blind River. When the event was held for her, she was a 4 year old battling leukaemia.

Though Abigail was too young to attend the event, her father attended and the money we raised let the young girl know she had the support of Elliot Lake behind her.

Ten years later, Abigail is a now in high school and still residing in Blind River.

Gregor McGregor the thirteenth obviously was the man Gregorpalooza was held for the first year. Gregor grew up in Elliot Lake, the son of Gregor and Patricia and the older brother to Kyle and Matthew.

You can currently find Gregor teaching in the Northwest Territories and has become quite a skilled motivational speaker on the topic of cancer and its effects.

Whenever possible, Gregor returns to Gregorpalooza to speak and for many, it is the highlight of the night. Gregor recently celebrated his 13th year cancer free.
